On Monday, we will be starting a mini-unit on a very interesting short story. Following that, we will kick off our poetry unit.

In an effort to get you ready, I would like you to spend the remainder of class doing one of two things:
1) Go to the opening page of this wikispace and click on the Magnetic Poetry link. There you will find instructions on how to write your own magnetic poem. This is tougher and, in my opinion, more fun than it sounds. Give it a shot.
2) Open the notes you took on short stories (they can be found below) and review the literary terms we discussed (metaphor, foreshadowing, etc). You will need to know these for our mini-unit.
